What is Junk journaling? Amanda’s Grandmother said, “Junk Journaling was as “old as the hills”. This art form originated from a love of found objects and curiosities (aka ephemera), a willingness to preserve special memories and craft them into something new!

In this class, you will learn the basics of bookbinding, practice basic beginner-friendly sewing and applique skills, and go home with your very own handmade journal that will be ready to use! We will use specially curated and sustainable supplies such as eco-dyed papers, upcycled materials like postcards, magazines, tickets, vintage materials, and more.

What can you use a Junk Journal for? These types of journals can be utilized for writing, memory keeping, tracking your craft projects, or anything you would like - the pages are yours to fill! This class is ideal for any sewing skill level, great for beginner journal makers, and for those who are crafty-curious makers! All materials needed will be provided to complete your project.

The class will start at 10 am and end at approximately 4 pm. A supply list will be sent out a week before the class starts, listing what you need to bring. Bring your lunch, a drink and come out hang out with Amanda and Angelique for the day. We are hooked on this fun craft and know you will be too!
